Our Weddings: the Luchts at the Gaillard Center

One of the best feelings as a wedding planner is when your bride gives a couple of ground rules, some vibes, and says, “I trust you to fill out the rest.”

Colleen asked for a white wedding. Simple. Elegant.

Say no more!

Colleen and Nolan were a pleasure to work with! And not just because they let me run with my creativity, though that was a plus.

I mean, how can you look at these photos and not smile? They radiated such a warm energy that made the planning process and the wedding day wonderful.

St. Luke’s Chapel was a stunning venue for a classic ceremony, and the gardens surrounding it were just dreamy. We were so thankful for such a gorgeous day and even in the midst of the family photos outside, our Bride and Groom were able to sneak away under the trees and enjoy a private moment.

You know, the “OMG, we’re married!!” moment!

Once at the Gaillard, guests were greeted by our favorite wedding sign to date. After all, when having your reception at a performing arts theater, it’s only natural to have a personalized, billboard-esque sign to welcome your guests.

The high ceilings in the actual reception space were highlighted beautifully by the draping from our friends at Lowcountry Entertainment. And when you take in the whole space, it’s giving “white wedding, simple, elegant,” don’t you think?

We think so, too!

To round out tradition and classic vibes, we did have to throw a real party. One where their guests couldn’t help but sing along to the songs or throw it down on the dance floor.

It’s all about balance.

And as their guests left, each took home a little memento: a personalized watercolor painting. (Do you see the bride’s reaction to hers?? How fun!!)

Now, to us, that’s the best favor any couple could give their guests. Just imagine going to your friend’s house a few years after the wedding and seeing the painting still hanging in their home. So special!

Cheers to the Luchts! Or rather, Próst!!

‘til next time!
