The Ashley was “reimagined and renovated in 2023” and just begging to be photographed. This boutique hotel offers a classic bed and breakfast service with stunning rooms, and it's the perfect backdrop for an intimate event or the most picturesque getting ready venue for your bridal party.
After all, a veranda and courtyard in downtown Charleston is hard to pass up!
Each detail for this shoot was handpicked and a mixture of rentals and family heirlooms: my mother’s chairs, grandmother’s coffee tables, a Facebook Marketplace couch from Savannah, Whip Dash’s vintage Aston Martin, and handmade classic, cake copper made by yours truly.
Oh! And a moment for the cake from Sharon at Tenacious Tart. Does that not just take you back?! But the balance with the modern detailing surrounding it is what was needed to truly bring out the vision of vintage style with a modern flare.
And the market photos, I mean come on!
I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to take that pretty car out on the town. The sleekness of the car with the complexity of the dress’s overlay just gets me every time.
